How to transfer SMS from an iPhone to your shiny new Android Phone.
This is fantastic even in 2016. Thank you. you should update it though just so there's no confusion.
Hi can you still do this in 2015? I'm trying to transfer text messages from an iPhone 5. I followed all the instruction, however all of my folders have a timestamp. therfore I could never find the right file. (Win 7)
I ended up not being able to do it the way you did, only assuming because the app has now changed since the video was shot (or probably cos i'm an idiot with technology). As a last resort I went onto My Files by going onto the Tool app on my S6. When i found the iphone.xml file, it came up 'Open with SMS Back Up And Restore'. From there i managed to get all the messages onto my new phone. Although i struggled at the end 'somehow', many thanks for the video. Wouldn't have done it with out it. Just a tip for anyone having the same problems i did
Good tutorial, but it was stupid how you didn't show how to move files to the Android itself. I was able to figure it out, but it should have been included.
AMAZING!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!! Such a simple task has been a pain in my a$$. Watching your video just made my day! THANK YOU!!!
Hi everyone. Little side note: If you are unable to find the folder as I was just unable to it is because on the computer I was on the hidden files/folders option was enabled. Just open the start menu and type "show hidden folders" and it will show you a box to change it to show hidden files/folders (win 7).
no you need to look for external sd card or external storage that will be the correct folder. Just make sure you know where you transfer it. That is mostly the difficult part
Hi Rob, hope you can help. Ive done the Itunes backup and file is saved to [USERNAME]Application DataApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup. But im having trouble from then on. 1. Where does the file get saved on my phone (Galaxy S4). I have a SD card in phone. So transfered to this. 2. when i click on ismsdroid app, and click on Storage/ SD card, i get a msg stating "not an Iphone SMS database.
Where am i going wrong? Hope you can help. Cheers 🙂
