I have a Coolpad note 3 lite. It comes with fingerprint scanner but is not marshmallow (it is lollipop 5.1). How can I use fingerprint for locking my apps?

Does it lock apps immediately (means re-locks the app when app exits or minimizes?) or screen has to turn off to re lock an app?

@GeekyRanjit: I want to unlock my nexus 6p using the imprint, which I am able to use easily. But how can I lock the screen using imprint or double tap….how do I do that ?? Please advise. If I use 3rd party apps, they interfere in the unlocking process, i.e. they force me to use imprint + pattern on nexus 6p. So please suggest what to do. I do not like using the power button. Thank you in advance.
